Recent Mix: Let's Talk by Dominic Bartolini

An excellent short documentary I had the pleasure of mixing for director Rachel Klein was posted to REI’s YouTube channel. I enjoyed working on the film and Chris Andrews’ message.

Chris Andrews walked 3,200 miles across the United States to research the effects of digital overuse on our wellbeing. His spiritual and social journey challenges Americans to reimagine their relationship with technology and find balance in the digital age. This film meets Chris in Joshua Tree National park after 2,900 miles on the road.

Recent Mixes: 23AndMe / Icarus Films / Riverkeeper by Dominic Bartolini

A few projects were recently posted online. First is a wonderful mini-doc for 23AndMe produced by the talented folks at Transient Pictures.

An excellent short doc about an environmental advocate in New Jersey by Sara Leavitt. This doc had some audio issues with the primary interview being done on a moving boat, however the end result cleaned up well.

A trailer for the 40th Anniversary of Icarus Films. (A challenge blending all of the various archival audio).

2017 Review Part 1 by Dominic Bartolini

This last year has been super busy and exciting for all things audio. I now have two adjoining independent 5.1 mix suites, allowing me to take on projects of most any size. Additional photos of Studio B (and revised photos of Studio A) to coming soon.

Among many exciting projects in 2018, this fall I mixed the doc-reality-musical series “Shade: Queens of NYC” for my talented friends at Cowboy Bear Ninja. Shade is a truly unique and fun show that documents the drag community in NYC. Check it out on Fusion!
